Things I learned today...
I love to learn. I mean I really love to learn. Probably the reason I fell into the teaching world. As a teacher I have to learn so much more than my students to become, the expert. It has been a blast learning about all things psychology over the years. I still find psychology, positive psychology, and what makes the best bosses and managers. However, in 2015 my life changed...I got married and had 4 step kids. Ha. I moved 30 miles away from the city I had called home for 15 years. Did I mention that I'm 40-something and this is my first marriage?! I have been challenged in every way possible. Thus, began a change. A change in focus, interests, and discovery.
I have always loved to learn and feel that I am learning things about life, myself, and so many other things daily. I have always loved to cook but cooking for one, well, leaves a lot to be desired.
In an effort to save money (there are 6 of us) and engage in a somewhat dormant pursuit I began cooking...a lot!
I have to rush at times to get meals on the table, take into consideration preferences, requests, likes and dislikes, honestly it can be exhausting. And exhilarating. I love to try new recipes and love to bake. Sometimes it's a huge success and sometimes an epic fail. I've only caught one thing on fire so that's something.
If you're like me, in a time of transformation, learning, and searching I hope you'll join me. I've learned that we need each other. To laugh with, to cry, to bake, cook, screw up, get back up again...and to have someone say me too. I struggle too, I yelled the other day too, I was less than pleasant to deal with and ignored just paying attention to a kiddo in my home.
I hope this is fun and we can find camaraderie and a common ground!
Here's to us....brave, etc
