This lemon cake I made turned out amazingly well but took me 8 hrs over 2 days to make. Ugh. Handmade frosting, lemon curd, pastry cream, and Bavarian cream. It really was delicious but if you make one mistake, like, oh, I don't know adding hot cream to the eggs they curdle/cook and everything is ruuuined and you have to start over. May be one of the best things I've ever made and one of the things that took the longest. Choices.
